Thanks for stopping by. My name is
Will Hanke, I am the owner of Lighthouse Technologies. My
company provides website solutions for business, non profits,
organizations and more.My company has clients across the USA,
from California to New Jersey, Texas to Wisconsin. I have overseas
clients in the UK, Ireland and Germany. I am extremely happy to
serve our worldwide customers, but my commitment to our local community
is something I am most proud of.
In 2005,
Lighthouse Technologies donated approximately $5000 in services to local
groups, organizations, and non-profits. In 2006 we surpassed that
amount, donating nearly $8,000 in services. This year we would like
to meet or beat that amount again.
Growing up in the
area, the Arnold community has grown close to my heart; from Arnold Park, where I ride my bike - to Rock Roll a Rena, where as a young
adult I played hockey, and where now my kids skate regularly. As a
graduate of Fox High School, I understand what the community needs and
desires.
After some time serving in the US Air Force, I started
Lighthouse Technologies, and soon found myself and my family moving back
to the Arnold area.
Early in 2004 I started
Arnold Talk. This website continues to thrive with lively conversations
and other local information and has become a focal point of my business.
You may have seen the sign on the side of Highway 55. In July of
2005, Arnold Talk officially signed up as a participant in the
Adopt-A-Highway program, aimed to keep the Arnold portion of I-55 highway clean of
debris and trash.
In November 2006, we adopted another mile stretch from
the 141 exit to the Meramac bridge.
Around July of 2004, I also recently started receiving emails asking about
the new school year, and the lack of information pertaining to events,
school supplies, and schedules. While my company offered several
times to assist the Fox C6 District with their website, these offers were
repeatedly declined. After watching the district's website diminish
to near non-existence, I decided to take it upon mysef to help the
community of parents in Arnold with the information they were asking for.
So I started FoxC6.net,
an unofficial and non-affiliated website for the parents and students of
the Fox C6 / Seckman district. As this website grows, I will have
more and more information available to parents, students, and perhaps even
the school's staff. If you have students in the Fox district, I
encourage you to get involved in their school.
Note: In mid-2005 the Fox School
District hired a web designer full time. This person has put in some
long hours and has provided the public a
pretty decent product.
Therefore, I saw no need to duplicate his efforts and have since taken
FoxC6.net offline.
I am also a member of the
Arnold Jaycees, and would like
to invite anyone age 21-39 to come visit us some time. While the
Jaycees is not for everyone, I personally think it is a wonderful (and
fun!) organization. They share many of the same beliefs about our
community that I do.
In spring of 2006 I started teaching free classes at the
Arnold branch of the Jefferson County Library. I teach HTML basics,
Search Marketing and other online marketing classes. These classes
are mostly geared toward business owners in the area.
Also in 2006, Lighthouse Technologies started offering
Search Marketing to businesses around the globe. If you have a
business that is suffering because your sales numbers aren't increasing,
you may want to look into online advertising. The potential to
corner a local search market is huge!
Lastly, if you know of anyone who may benefit from my
business' services, I'd like you to refer them to me. I've worked
hard over the years to provide great services to the area, and I'd love to
hear from you.
Together we can continue to make Arnold a wonderful
place to live!
Have a great day,
Will Hanke
